About us:

Welcome to The Weed Patch online store! Operating since 1981, we’re a small, family-owned store specializing in home décor and gifts with an emphasis on country, primitive, and vintage style. We love our home and our family, and we love connecting with customers all over the world! The Weed Patch allows us to do what we love together as a family, and we truly appreciate every single customer. All our home décor and gift items are hand-picked with care – we often test them out in our own homes to ensure quality, usability, and product familiarity. Feel free to contact us to ask about our products, your order, decorating ideas, or any other questions you might have! Order Processing Time:

We want to provide you with stellar customer service, and strive to process your order as quickly as possible. You will receive an email (to the address you enter in your order) confirming your order, again when we have pulled your items for shipment, and lastly when your order shipped (and will include your tracking number). If you do not receive an email after you place your order, please check your spam filter, and also give us a call to let us know, so we can get you the info you need!

In-stock merchandise:  Ships in 2-6 business days (M-F, excl, holidays)
"Special order" items:  As listed on individual product page (1-2 weeks on average)

Delivery time from us to you depends on how far your package has to travel, and we ship from a few different warehouses across the country - please contact us if you are concerned about schedule and would like a time estimate!

Back-orders:

Products carried in-house have an accurate inventory status on our website.  Many products are “Special Order” - they are ordered from our supplier once you place your order, and are subject to their stock status. We work to keep stock status of those items as accurate as possible, but occasionally our supplier will be out of stock. If that happens, we’ll contact you to see what you’d like to do (and/or use our best judgment). Please make sure your phone number is listed correctly, so we can reach you!  

Shipping Methods:

We ship via United States Postal Service (USPS) or FedEx. Unless requested, signature is not required for delivery, and insurance is included. Most orders are shipped from Washington State, zip code 98012. Delivery time once shipped depends on how far your package has to travel, and the service used, which is typically standard delivery USPS or Ground FedEx. Priority and Rush delivery are available, by request, based upon actual FedEs/USPS costs.

See below for a summary of current shipping & handling charges (based on order subtotal, before any discounts). Charges are based upon actual costs incurred by FedEx/USPS freight charges, labor, and packing supplies.

Payment Options:

Credit Card: We accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal (Please note you do NOT have to have a PayPal account to pay via credit card with this method).

Phone Payment: If you prefer to pay over the phone, you may select “phone order” as your payment method when you are checking out. You then must call us to provide your credit card information over the phone. For your protection, your card will be charged while we are on the phone with you, as we will not write down the number (for security reasons).

We are unable to accept checks or money orders, no exceptions.

 

Tax:

We are located in Washington State, and must charge Washington State residents the tax percentage associated with their area.

 

Return Policy:

Your satisfaction is very important to us.  If for any reason you are dissatisfied with one of our products, you may return it within 14 days of receipt for a refund less shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee (shipping costs are not refundable). Please allow 5 business days for us to process your return. Returns must be pre-authorized by contacting us via email or phone.

As we are always looking for ways to improve our product line, it would be most helpful to us if you would provide a brief explanation as to the nature of your dissatisfaction.

In all cases of returns, merchandise must be in new condition, in the correct packaging, with the insert slips in the packaging. Washed or laundered items, food, and soap / bath products, and special orders cannot be returned. Upon receiving the returned product, we will inspect it and then issue a refund or exchange if these terms have been met. Once we have received your return, and have examined it and verified that the return conditions have been met, we will issue your credit. Any items not in the correct packaging or in new condition as described above will be charged a 50% restocking fee.

 

All items have a 15% restocking fee.

Special order rugs are not returnable (Swatches of most rugs can be purchased). Washed or laundered items, food, soap / bath products, and special orders cannot be returned. 


Items returned to us and damaged in the shipping process cannot be refunded (you must then make a claim to the shipping company, so they can refund you). Take care when repacking the item(s), and (if it is a breakable item) purchase shipping insurance if not automatically included by the shipper.

We write our own product descriptions, often based upon manufacturer provided information, and use a combination of vendor-provided photos and our own pictures. Many of our items are handmade, rustic, and/or “primitive,” and thus by their very nature have irregularities. We want you to be as fully informed as possible about each item. Please take note that every computer monitor displays color slightly different and we do our best to describe things accurately.

 

Exchanges:

If you wish to make an exchange, please contact us to make arrangements. Exchanges for a different product will be billed shipping charges, plus any difference in product price.

 

Errors:

If we have made a shipping error, please contact us immediately, so we can work out a solution. Often this means we will pick up the order at our expense, and once we have verified the error, send you the correct merchandise. If the merchandise is no longer available, we will refund your purchase. Error claims must be made within 2 days of receipt of your order.

 

Shipping Damages:

Please examine your package immediately upon receipt. If there is shipping damage, you must notify us within 2 days of receipt, by e-mail, and we will arrange for carrier to verify shipping damage. You must keep all shipment packaging, as the carrier may require it in order to verify damages. Damaged items will be replaced with the same item and we may require that the item be returned prior to exchange. If an item cannot be replaced due to unavailability, then we will refund your purchase.

Privacy Policy:

Your privacy is very important to us. We will only use your information to contact you about your order. We will not sign you up for any marketing email lists, nor will we share your information with anyone, under any circumstance. We use a third party to manage our marketing emails – you means you will only receive our newsletter if you sign up on our website, and you can cancel at any time, as you manage your own subscription.

 

Wholesale Inquiries:

We are a retail business only. We are not the manufacturer of the vast majority of our products, so we do not have the ability to wholesale to other businesses. We do not provide information regarding our suppliers.
